Ukrainian-born singer-songwriter, Natisa, has announced the release of her new single on May 12th 2023. Entitled, Aesthetics, the impossibly-catchy, Gloria Gaynor-tinged, electro-disco LGBTQ+ anthem is about two women who inadvertently fall in love. “Aesthetics of you and me/ The beauty and purity/ Our feelings may be misunderstood/ We tasted most forbidden fruit,” sings Natisa, and the song has such an instant, classic feel, you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s been knocking around your house for years. Either that, or you’ll think Natisa has somehow wired herself into an illegal songwriting machine. For the record, in late 2022, parliament unanimously approved a media regulation bill that banned hate speech and incitement based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and, in March 2023, a parliamentary bill was introduced for civil unions. It has the support of the President and, polling suggests, of a majority of the population.
Aesthetics has been co-written with, and produced by, US-born, Prague-based songwriter and musician Gregory Darling, and is the follow-up to debut single, Wind Of Hope, a song that showcased Natisa at her most-bulletproof, revealing a voice at the outer limits of perfection, a mellifluous, brittle instrument so finely poised and positioned as to be able to claim land rights of its own. Both Wind Of Hope and Aesthetics accent a common theme running through Natisa’s songs: love. “Love is like air,” says Natisa. “It is everywhere.”

LYRICS
Your curves are driving me so mad You’re in my head,
I'm painting your silhouette, so innocent
The image of you never disappears
The taste of your caprice, is on my lips
If God had just one chance to see
Ma chère petite amie, mon amie they would take away from me
Deep waters of your eyes, I found in you my paradise
Aesthetics of you and me
The beauty and purity
Our feelings may be misunderstood
We tasted most forbidden fruit
Aesthetics of me and you
The crazy dreams are coming true
Each time I share a secret love
Your silent heart makes me alive
Feel alive, feel alive, feel alive, feel alive
I know for sure we’ve met before, hundreds or more
Millions of lives ago, you brushed my soul
In any universe I’ll find your trace
I never could forget your face, Your cold embrace
If God had just one chance to see
Ma chère petite amie, mon amie they would take away from me
Deep waters of your eyes, I lost in you my paradise
Your love - a matter defined and exact
Your love - a temple Built on the absent
You summon the light - It sleeps on your cheek
I am longing - for your mystique
Aesthetics of you and me
The beauty and purity
Our feelings may be misunderstood
We tasted most forbidden fruit
Aesthetics of me and you
The crazy dreams are coming true
Each time I share a secret love
Your silent heart makes me alive
Aesthetics of you and me
The beauty and purity
Our feelings may be misunderstood
We tasted most forbidden fruit
Feel alive Feel alive
